Arrived Haiti

I met up with Larry and his daughter Jorie in Fort Laudardale and we arrived safely at our destination in Jacmel, Haiti this afternoon. We stopped to check out the construction of our Port au Prince school (Diquinni) before heading south to Jacmel.
Today I have mixed emotions as I am exited about our trip into Haiti and seeing all the children and our staff at our 23 schools but today were funerals of some very special friends from Swift Current and a friend that use to live in Swift. Alice and Lillian Ruest were such special friends of ours for many years. They supported several children in our projects in Haiti and always had their home open to us as they bathed us with love every time we stopped by. They will be so missed. I am so glad I got a chance to have a visit with them a couple of days before their auto crash. They were the salt of the earth. Also another good friend who lived in Swift when we were there before moving to Cambridge Bay where Mel and Jan would host us when we went up to minister in the North. Mel was a precious brother. One day we will be together again in Glory. Our condolences to their families as they will be so missed.

As you probably saw my schedule over the last couple of months has been very hectic but very fruitful. We are so great full for all those that have helped make a difference in the lives of the children of Haiti. Watch for updates later this week..... Bob & Linda
