Making a Difference with shipment of food
A huge helping hand came from Pastor Chad and his Urban Refuge Church from the U.S.
This came at just the right time that made the difference that we were able to keep an addition 700 children in school for the remainder of the school year. Over the last couple of years inflation has raised food costs over 300%. One 40 foot container with 300,000 meals. Thank you for making a difference in the lives of the precious children of Haiti.....

Coastal Church providing funds for construction of our Diquinni project
Construction of our Dinquinni project which is on the west side of Port au Prince is on schedule and will be ready for the start of school in Sept. 2009. We anticipate we will have between 400 to 500 children attending this school from pre school to grade 6. The community is not only excited about the opening of the school but also for the building to be used as a church on Sunday's. A huge thanks to Pastor Dave Koop of Coastal Church of downtown Vancouver and all his congregation for the funds to build this project. All the walls are up now with the roof to be the next phase. We plan on having a second level in the future so the roof of this phase will be the floor of the second level sometime in the future. Together we can make a difference....

Needs for our schools for 2009/2010
For our Sept. enrollment for the upcoming year we are in need of your help. We anticipate we will have 26 schools with approx. 4400 children attending.
We will be feeding 1,276,000 meals this year.
We will need $32,000. to purchase books, $42,000. to make all the uniforms.
Funds to pay 250 full time staff in Haiti which include all the teachers, and support staff. Our average salary is only $100.U.S. per month but this still adds up to $300,000. U.S. for the year.
Also the funds for medicine, clean drinking water, construction of new schools, equipment, tools.
Purchase of containers $4000. to ship supplies, and $6500. for shipping costs to Haiti. We hope to ship 4 to 6 containers of food into the country at a cost a costs of $39,000 for shipping and $24,000 for the purchase of the containers for a total of $63,000. If we are unable to do this our food costs in Haiti would be well over $600,000. Every dollar makes a difference. There is still much more that I haven't listed for needs of vehicles, repairs, office supplies and much more...

Thank you for making a difference..
I have been asked what if we cannot raise the money needed to operate the schools. The answer is that we would have to close some schools down and as a result several children would die of starvation. Closing is not an option.
We still have 17 locations on the waiting list with 4000 children waiting to start school in areas that we have not been able to reach yet because of lack of funding. Together we can make a difference. Please make your donation today or contact me if you have any questions.... lifelinehaiti@gmail.com

Supporters helping with orphanage
This is an orphanage that we are building that will house children that will be adopted to the U.S. or France. There are 400 children that die everyday in Haiti due to starvation and the families are in desperate need to find a better life for their children. There is a waiting list of several hundred families waiting to adopt children from Haiti. We don't do the adoption but provide the housing during transition.
Transition time is from 12 to 18 months for the paper work to be completed. We will house 20 orphans at this location. We expect to have the home completed by the end of Aug./09...
Larry and his daughter Jorie with me on this trip
We are at the construction site at PAP before the floor was poured. Larry and his family live at the west coast of B.C.
Photo's below are shots of construction Diquinni (PAP)
The pictures below show construction at our Diquinni school which is part of Port au Prince on the west side. This construction is a blessing from Pastor Dave Koop and his church members of the Coastal Church from downtown Vancouver. Photo's show the flooring that has been poured which is 1 ft. thick and they are just preparing the water reservoir for catching rain water off the roof. This will hold 20,000 gallons of water. Clean water is a precious commodity in Haiti. The scene shot is approach the building site from a couple block away. By this time we have traveled up the mountain for about 10 min. The foundation is just below the two story unfinished building near the top of the picture.
