COFFEE IMPORTED FROM HAITI

Coffee Imported from Haiti

Funds raised from imported coffee from Haiti will help make a difference.. Thank you to Ryan Reinheller, owner/operator of Creekside Coffee of Medicine Hat we have an opportunity to help make a difference. The coffee is a registered fair trade coffee, grown in the mountains near our Thiotte location on the east side of Haiti. Ryan imports the coffee, roasts, bags and labels it for us. All profits made from the coffee goes back to help with the Chabin school location projects. Ryan was with us to Haiti last March/08, and as a result found a way to help the children. Perhaps as you read this you can see a way you can help make a difference... We sell the coffee for $20. per bag plus shipping and handling if we have to ship it to you. This is some of the best coffee you can get anywhere in the world. To order contact me via e-mail.............. lifelinehaiti@gmail.com
Since I posted this a couple of months ago, Ryan has moved to Alaska and our son Clint now is President and Master Roaster for Creek Side Coffee.........

To save on shipping we suggest you order one case of 15 bags for only $15. shipping. Depends on what part of the country you live in. Otherwise one bag will cost about $10. to ship..

Specify if you would like your coffee ground or whole bean. It is roasted less then 24 hrs. before it is shipped.

Thank you for making a difference .......

Joanne and Rebecca with Leinia in the middle

After the soccer game the girls had a chance for a short visit. Leinia is our vic principle at our Chabin High School and the worship leader in our Jacmel church.. It has been a wonderful 2 months for the girls from Winkler.. They will be missed down here as I know they will miss all in Haiti. They got their hair braided yesterday!!

OUR TEAM WENT DOWN TO DEFEAT BUT ARE STILL WINNERS

We are so proud of our team. They were up against the best team in Jacmel that has gone to represent the city in the Nationals. With second place they won $50. U.S. and a soccer ball for the school.. Thanks to the Human Rights Division of the United Nations for putting on the competition. The boys in red are the team that received a trophy, $100.U.S., a soccer ball and school books. One action shot of their goalie making a save. This was great for our children to get this experience.... They are so looking forward to the next series in March.

SOCCER TOURNMENT IN JACMEL INVITED BY THE UN

We had a personal invitation by the representatives of the Human Rights Division of the United Nations to participate in a soccor tournament in Jacmel today. This was as a result of their tour of our schools the other day. Our boys had never played soccer together before as there is no level ground in the mountains to play on. They at times use a small are we have on the playground that is a couple hundred square feet. Anyway the boys played today against one of the top teams in the city and won 2 to 0.. They now play in the finals tomorrow afternoon. There were many of our children bussed down from Chabin to watch the game.. You would have thought we won the world cup with all the excitment and cheering that went on.. The picture of the two boys with Pastor are the two boys that scored the goals... stay tuned for tomorrows results....

Our two winning goal scorers!!

HUMAN RIGHTS DIVISION OF THE UNITED NATIONS

On Sunday in my travels I had the opportunity to meet the Minister of Human Rights for the Government of Haiti. As a result we were honored with a visit from a délégation from the Human Rights Division of the United Nations. This photo shows us standing on our property in Chabin in the for ground of our schools. Today we will be on the long hike to our Savanette school. This is a location we have 300 children in our most remote region of Haiti. It is about a 2 hr. walk up the mountain that climbs 1600 feet in the first mile....

LITTLE ANGELS OF JACMEL ORPHANAGE

This is a picture of the orphane children with Pastor Placide, Rebecca , Joanne and one of the nannies.. The children are so happy.. Many were at deaths door when they were dropped off because of starvation but with some nutrition and a little love they have made a remarkable recovery. They are so well behaved and such a joy to be around... For teams coming to Haiti in the future we are in need of some toys for the children, bed sheets, towels, blankets, or anything else you can think of... Thanks for making a difference..... one child at a time... Bob & Linda

SOMETHING YOU DON'T SEE OFTEN IN HAITI

While in Port au Prince what seemed like 8 hrs. of driving we had the opportunity to go into a gated community. Yes, there are actually people of wealth in this nation.. Approx. 10 to 15% but not all with homes like the one on the top. Hard to believe these homes are in the same city..
God bless those missionaries that have been called to live in a city like PAP.. You are amazing. It takes hours to get anywhere.. I was sure glad to get back to Jamel tonight....
Thanks everyone ... Bob & Linda
